God is love, and love is only known in relationship.
He could have handed us His truth in any form. Instead He gave it as story, an epic told over thousands of years that culminates in the death and resurrection of Christ, because a story is people in relationship, and relationship is where love is seen. When we tell these stories, we are participating in God's own storytelling with the world, and that participation changes everyone it touches.
We believe acting is a powerful medium. The truest performances come from those who can live honestly in a moment and let that truth reach an audience in a living way.
That is why Earthen Vessel is not entertainment. Our work is to let the truth of the Word land and take root. It begins with the actors: we let the truth change us first, then get out of the way so it can shine clearly through us to everyone watching. The more truly we live in the stories of Scripture, the more their power is set free.

We are bringing live biblical theater to LaGrange, Georgia, on the stage of The Odeum, a recreation of an ancient amphitheater at the Biblical History Center.
Earthen Vessel Productions has partnered with the Biblical History Center to bring biblically and historically accurate productions to the stage, for everyone to enjoy, learn from, and be inspired by.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4 · KJVEarthen Vessel Productions is a nonprofit, and our calling reaches beyond the theater. We long to be a vessel fit for the Master's use, filled with His love and poured out for those who are hurting, especially widows and those who have come through abusive and damaging relationships.
We want to surround them with community, to meet real and physical needs, and to give them a safe place and steady support as they heal. If we can be vessels fit for His use, He will fill us with His love and pour us out for anyone and everyone we can reach.
Gabe and Wendy met in 2002 on a musical theater team touring the eastern United States. Gabe holds a degree in Bible; Wendy is a playwright and director with a passion for putting the Word of God center stage and letting it speak through the cast. They live in Newnan, Georgia with their two children, Gabriel and Ava Loren, who are both deeply involved in Earthen Vessel Productions.
Sean and Stephanie share a deep love of dramatic production. Sean, a general contractor, traveled with the theater team building sets and running tech, and is thrilled to help bring the Word of God to the stage at The Odeum. Stephanie, a homeschool mom of five, has directed high school productions for both homeschool groups and private schools.
Earthen Vessel is a community of believers: actors, business people, teachers, tradesmen, theologians, students, and apologists, from Georgia and beyond. Bios for the 2026 cast and crew are coming soon.
Beyond our inaugural season, we look forward to featuring more communicators of Scripture, and to hosting discussion forums on biblical history and archaeology, concerts, and conferences at The Odeum.
